We envision a Saskatchewan that embraces and elevates its female and gender-diverse leaders.

About Us

Sask Girls United is a registered non-profit organization that offers free, virtual programming to girls and gender-diverse youth ages 8-18 in Saskatchewan. We offer programs that focus on topics such as leadership, mental health, healthy relationships, and self expression!

Our Mission

Through fostering an inclusive community, Sask Girls United provides skills, resources, and mentorship to inspire and empower the leaders of tomorrow.

Sask Girls United is committed to addressing and overcoming barriers faced by its participants of all identities, backgrounds and circumstances in an effort to create a safe, inviting, and respectful environment. SGU also acknowledges that many of these youth may not strictly identify with the title of ‘girl’, and welcomes these individuals regardless. We take it as our responsibility to fulfill these expectations, not only while hosting our programs, but while we plan behind the scenes.

Guiding Principles

Empowerment - We help girls and gender-diverse youth build leadership skills and confidence in who they are.

Community - We create spaces where youth can connect and grow together.

Inclusion - We celebrate diversity and ensure every voice feels seen, heard, and valued.

At Sask Girls United we align our programs with Sustainable Development Goal #4 - Quality Education and Sustainable Development Goal #5 - Gender Equality. Through our initiatives, we work to ensure that girls and gender-diverse youth have access to empowering educational opportunities and are supported to reach their full potential.

Sask Girls United exists in the traditional and ancestral territories of the Cree, Saulteaux, Sioux, Dene, who are – to varying extents - part of Treaties 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 10 in Saskatchewan. These lands are also the homeland of the Metis Nation of Saskatchewan, formerly the Blackfoot Confederacy, and many Indigenous urban communities and individuals. SGU is committed to advancing Reconciliation, and we recognize that everyone plays a role in this journey toward collective healing.
